Nyrðri-Leirar

A big camp ground next to the Information Center. There are new sanitary facilities with hot and cold water, showers, toilets and a laundry room.

From Nyrðri-Leirar there is a trail leading to Hrauntún, an abandoned farm site in the lava field, north-east of the Information Center.

The camp ground is for caravans, campers and guests who want to keep their cars next to the tents.
