Syðri-Leirar

The biggest camp ground in the National Park. There are toilets, sinks and cold water. There are is also a tank for emptying chemical toilets.

From Syðri-Leirar there is a trail leading to Skógarkot, an abandoned farm site situated in the lava field, south-east of the Information Center.

The camp ground is for caravans, campers and travelers who want to keep their cars next to their tents.
