International Ranger Day
The 31st of July marks the World Ranger Day. It both commemorates Rangers killed or injured in the line of duty and celebrates the critical work Rangers do to protect the world’s natural and cultural treasures. The Thingvellir National Park takes part in the annual celebrations.
That is why encourage our visitors to take a brief moment and talk with the rangers and learn more about their important work. We are happy to engage with you and your questions. Maybe we ask you to take a picture with our ranger to show your support for the work of the rangers.
