Briefing with the Response Team

Smiled against the sun

After the meeting the representatives from emergency and response team line up for a photo op and with them the park´s director.

Yesterday Þingvellir national park´s director, Einar Á. E. Sæmundson, met with the region´s emergency and response team. Meetings like these have been held on regular basis to keep us all on our toes. It is quite a responsibility to have one of the most visited tourist site in Iceland and good to keep everyone up to date.

There will also be some additional events this summer due to celebration of 80th anniversary of the republic and 150 years since the first constitution was given to Iceland 1874.

In the briefing it was talked about the national park´s project, manpower and the presence of paramedic from the Healthcare Institute of South Iceland at Þingvellir. That is a project initiated by the national park and has fared quite well.

We are looking positive eyes to coming summer.
