Here is a map of the closed area. This is only the uppermost part of Almannagjá but the gorge will not be accessible from P1 from 18.00 - 23:00 until end of May.
Þingvellir
The path that leads from the viewing platform at Hakid down to Almannagjá will be closed between 18:00 - 23:00 every day until end of May.
Work is being done to repair the bridge. It is only a small part, about 200 meters, of the 2 km path in Almannagjá, rest of the path is open and accessible from parking lot P2 and P5.

We are working on this part of the path. We will need to have it temporarily closed in the evening while the repair work continues.
