Camping: Closed on our Grass Fields
Due to warmer weather and rain we have had to close for car traffic on to our grass fields at our campground
Almannagjá Closed in the Evening
From the 6th of October until the end of the month the trail in Almannagjá will be closed due to repair.
We will close 15:00 on the 20.09
We will close our visitor centre at 15:00 on Friday the 20.09
Visitor centre closes at 16:50
Due to staff meeting we will close at 16:50.
Delayed Opening due to staff meeting.
Our Visitor centre will open at 09:30 tomorrow due to staff meeting.
Parking lot repairment
Due to parking lot repair we will have to have parking lot P5 closed until 11:00. Instead we will open up parking lot P4.
Simple Infrastructure
The simplest of infrastructure is maybe benches to sit and relax.
Iceland´s 80th Republic Anniversary
We will have some celebration this weekend here at Þingvellir national park as we celebrate our 80th year anniversary as Republic.
Evening Closure for part of Almannagjá
Uppermost part of Almannagjá will be closed from 18:00 - 23:00 until end of May
Successful Meeting Yesterday
It is not always so but yesterday was while staff came together to prep for coming summer.
General Staff Meeting Day
We are having a preparation day for coming summer. Our service to day will be limited.
Briefing with the Response Team
Yesterday the park´s director met with the emergency and response team. Both for briefing and planning the coming summer.
